Hampshire-based FB The Wholesaler has joined buying group Sterling Supergroup as its newest member.
The wholesaler, which was established in 1982, supplies fresh produce, dairy, prepared vegetables and kitchen essentials to trade and hospitality businesses across the south coast. It currently serves customers in Dorset, Hampshire, Surrey and West Sussex.
“We’re enthusiastic about the opportunities for shared knowledge, innovation and long-term strategic growth that Sterling membership brings,” said FB The Wholesaler purchasing manager Mark Wright.
“As the hospitality and foodservice sectors continue to evolve, collaboration across the wholesale industry is becoming increasingly important, and we see this as a valuable step forward for our business.”
Sterling Supergroup chief commercial officer Daniel Larkin said FB The Wholesaler would give the group “an even stronger foothold on the south coast”.
“As a well-established, family-run business, they bring valuable expertise to the Sterling community, and we look forward to supporting them through the next stage of their journey.”
FB The Wholesaler is the sixth new member to have joined Sterling Supergroup this year.
In March alone, Young’s Foodservice, Clegg’s Chilled Foodservice, and Robinson Wholesale all became members. Other new members include Mason Foodservice, which joined the group in January, and John D Forrest, which joined in February.
