Gymkhana will launch in Tesco from 24 June

Gymkhana Fine Foods has secured a national listing with Tesco for its range of Indian cooking sauces and marinades.

From 24 June, the upmarket restaurant brand will roll out five cooking sauces and two marinades across 451 stores. These include Butter Masala, Tikka Masala, Rogan Josh, Goan Curry, and Madras sauces (rsp: £6.75/300g), alongside marinades in Classic Tandoori and Green Tikka (rsp: £5.75/190g).

“Getting our range into Tesco is a hugely exciting moment for us,” said CEO Gulrez Arora. “It means the flavours we’re so proud of – the same recipes that earned the restaurant its world-class reputation – can now find their way into kitchens right across the country, as part of the everyday shop.”

Launched in 2023, Gymkhana Fine Foods is a premium food brand inspired by the Michelin-starred Gymkhana restaurant in London’s Mayfair, part of the JKS Restaurants group.

The brand translates the depth and complexity of dishes typically found in Indian homes and restaurants into marinades, sauces and ingredients designed for modern kitchens. Gymkhana is also stocked in Waitrose, Sainsbury’s, Whole Foods and selected independent retailers.

Arora added: “We’ve always believed that cooking something special at home shouldn’t mean hours of effort. Everything we make is slow-cooked by our chefs and ready in minutes, so you can spend more time at the table and less in the kitchen. To see it on Tesco shelves is an incredible moment for everyone who has worked so hard over the past few years.”

The Tesco listing comes after the brand expanded its Waitrose partnership last month with a range of “easy-to-cook” chicken and salmon dishes for the barbecue season. It was recently named in NIQ’s Million Club after surpassing £1m in value sales last year.
