Lost and Grounded is known for its flagship Keller Pils lager

Bristol craft brewer Lost and Grounded Brewers has partnered with Co-op to launch ‘Around the World with Lost and Grounded Brewers’, an exclusive six-beer series celebrating lager styles from around the globe.

The series would “explore lager styles inspired by brewing traditions from around the world”, the brewer said.

The first release, which is in Co-op stores now, celebrates the US West Coast Pilsner style.

Weighing in at 5.2% abv, West Coast Style Pils (rsp: £3.25/440ml) offered “citrus and pine notes of American hops” alongside a “crisp pilsner malt base”, Lost and Grounded said.

It will be followed by the launch of New Zealand Style Pils in August, Australian Style Pils in October, Vienna Style Lager in December, Italian Style Pils in February 2027 and North German Style Pils in April 2027.

Six limited-edition brews will launch between June and next April

The project would seek to “broaden the conversation around lager and showcase the diversity and character of the world’s most popular beer style”, Lost & Grounded said.

“Lager as a style is difficult to master, but we enjoy the challenge that comes from brewing this type of beer. Brewing lager is where we started our journey and stands as a testament to the skill of our brewing team,” said Annie Clements, co-founder at Lost and Grounded Brewers. “We’re very excited to be partnering with Co-op to share our beer with a wider audience, helping people to discover the wonderful world of lager.”

Andrew Birdsey, Co-op senior buying manager for beer, added: “We’re excited to bring this exclusive new range to our customers and have loved working closely with the Lost and Grounded team, who are arguably the best lager brewery in the UK.

“The beauty of this project is its flexibility, bringing a consistent flow of fresh lagers to our shelves, while showcasing a whole world of flavours for our customers to enjoy.”
