Alliance Stores operates Iceland stores in the Channel Islands, under a supply agreement launched in 2024

Iceland Foods groceries will be available for rapid delivery in the Channel Islands for the first time, through a new partnership with on-demand platform Order It.

The service will launch from Iceland’s two recently opened franchise stores in Jersey on 15 July, with plans to roll the service out further if it is a success.

Shoppers will be able to place orders via the Order It app. Deliveries are then picked up and delivered by the platform’s couriers, with free delivery on orders above £50.

An initial 600 Iceland products will be available, including 200 chilled and products from its growing exclusive brands programme, including Greggs, Cathedral City, Harry Ramsden’s and Myprotein.

It’s the latest expansion of Iceland’s supply partnership with Alliance Stores, which operates the Iceland and Food Warehouse fascia in the Channel Islands, since it launched in November 2024.

Alliance currently operates two Iceland branded stores in Jersey, as well as the first-ever Food Warehouse store outside mainland Great Britain, in Guernsey. There are plans to open more.

“Partnering with Iceland to bring this exciting new online supermarket to Jersey is the result of a strong collaborative effort and a shared commitment to delivering high-quality, great-value products to customers in the Channel Islands,” said Keiran Poole, operations director at Alliance.

“We’ve worked hard to ensure the platform meets the needs of local customers, offering convenience, choice, and reliability. We’re confident this will make a real difference to the way people shop in Jersey.”

The Alliance Partnership is one of a number of national and international new supply partnerships agreed by Iceland over recent months following the relaunch and rebrand of its wholesale arm Iceland International last year. It includes a new trial partnership with Spar operator AJ Blakemore, launched in June.

“This is an exciting next step for Iceland in Jersey,” said Justin Addison, Iceland Foods international and partnerships director.

“The reaction to our stores earlier this year has been fantastic – and now we’re making it even easier for shoppers to access our quality range and exclusive brands with the convenience of online shopping.

“With the largest frozen selection on the island, our launch with Order It, supported by Alliance, gives customers more choice and flexibility than ever before,” Addison added.
