Jersey-based rum brand The Tidal Rum has landed a retail debut with Ocado.
Its flagship and spiced rums have launched on the online grocer (rsp: £37.95/70cl).
They are a blend of rums sourced from Trinidad, Jamaica, Barbados and the Dominican Republic and infused with marine botanicals foraged on the Channel Islands.
Launching on Ocado was a “significant milestone” in Tidal Rum’s goal to “make premium rums accessible and elevate the rum experience in the UK and beyond”, the brand said.
“Ocado’s reach and commitment to quality and innovation align perfectly with our mission to share the exceptional taste of Tidal with as many people as possible,” said brand founder Harry Coulthard. “We believe this collaboration will make our rum more accessible and convenient for our customers across the UK.”
Tidal Rum’s brand owner Shorts Boy Distillery has twice crowdfunded to support its growth ambitions.
The supplier – founded by Coulthard and Ben Clyde-Smith in 2019 – brought in over £400k from nearly 300 investors in 2024, having previously raised £265k in 2021.
