The new variants will hit supermarkets in March

Mars-owned frozen fruit snacking brand Trü Frü has added two variants and tripled its UK distribution.

The new variants are Blueberries in White & Dark Chocolate and Raspberries in White & Milk Chocolate (rsp: £6/200g).

The former will launch exclusively into 213 Waitrose stores on 3 March, while the latter will hit freezers in 795 Tesco stores on 10 March.

Meanwhile, Trü Frü has tripled its distribution, having secured listings for Strawberries in White & Milk Chocolate in Tesco Express, Co-op and Sainsbury’s Local.

Tesco’s main estate, Waitrose and Sainsbury’s will also be increasing store numbers significantly, bringing Trü Frü’s total number of UK stocking points to 6,957.

Trü Frü – which started life in the US in 2017 and was acquired by Mars in 2023 – made its UK debut last March, launching Strawberries in White & Milk Chocolate, Raspberries in White & Dark Chocolate and Piña Colada Pineapple in White Chocolate & Coconut into Tesco.

It achieved retail sales value of £7.4m within its first nine months, according to IRI data [2024].

“We are so pleased to see such strong and continued success for the Trü Frü range,” said Trü Frü GM Carrie Martin.

“The launch last year surpassed our expectations, and it looks like 2025 is set to be even bigger and better. There has been strong demand for Trü Frü NPD and we can’t wait to hear what people think of our two new flavours.”
