Sainsbury’s is to roll out more than 7,000 Nectar Prices offers throughout August, with savings of up to half price on a range of grocery products.
From 5 August to 25 August, the supermarket giant will be launching savings across a selection of branded products, including Pizza Express Margherita Pizza (£2.75 with Nectar or £5.50 without), Birds Eye Fish Fingers (£1.75 with Nectar or £2.90 without), and Fab Strawberry Ice Lollies (£1.25 with Nectar or £2.50 without).
Other brands featured in the savings include Higgidy and Tropicana, alongside a range of own-brand lines such as by Sainsbury’s Pink Lady Apples six-pack (£1.75 with Nectar or £2.90 without), Taste the Difference Luxury Coleslaw, and by Sainsbury’s Ripe & Ready Avocados.
The grocer will also be launching a ‘two for £3’ Nectar Prices multibuy promotion across selected berry lines, including By Sainsbury’s strawberries, raspberries, blackberries and blueberries.
It comes as search data shows a growing demand for “simple and convenient” mealtime solutions. According to Sainsbury’s, searches for ‘frozen fish fingers’ have risen 200% year on year, while ‘kids meals’ searches are up 31% month on month.
Everyday essentials also remain popular, with almost twice as many Taste the Difference Free Range Golden Yolk Eggs sold compared with last year.
“With the summer holidays in full swing, we’re helping customers make their weekly shop go further with Nectar Prices on more than 7,000 fresh and grocery favourites,” said Sainsbury’s commercial director for fresh and convenience Richard Crampton.
“From easy family meals and food for summer days out to keeping the fridge stocked for the week ahead, we want to make great value easier to find throughout August, so families can enjoy good food for less.”
Alongside deals on grocery lines, Sainsbury’s is rolling out Nectar savings through its partnership with Merlin Entertainments. Nectar members can double the value of their points to save on days out, such as swapping £5 worth of points for £10 off tickets to over 20 UK attractions including Legoland Windsor Resort, Alton Towers and Chessington World of Adventures.
