Thatchers has doubled the size of its alcohol-free range with the launch of a 0.0% version of its Blood Orange fruit cider.
Blood Orange 0.0 is to hit Tesco stores next month in 500ml bottles (rsp: £2) and 4x440ml can multipacks (rsp: £4).
The NPD was a “vibrant, mouthwatering, alcohol-free, juicy cider, crafted with the sweetest dessert apples and bursting with blood orange flavour”, according to Thatchers.
Its launch would give retailers “a new way to win shoppers who are moderating, without asking them to compromise on taste”, the Somerset-based supplier added.
“Thatchers Blood Orange 0.0 will delight the taste buds and quench the thirst of fruit cider fans looking to moderate,” said Martin Thatcher, fourth generation cidermaker at Thatchers Cider. “We’ve used all the expertise gained from 122 years of cidermaking at Myrtle Farm to create a satisfying alcohol‑free cider that stays true to the Thatchers Blood Orange people know and love.
“It’s a brilliant addition for retailers looking to bring fresh excitement to the fixture and welcome new shoppers to the cider category.”
Thatchers was the fastest-growing brand in the top 10 bestselling low & no beers and ciders last year. Sales of its 0.0% cider have soared by 73% to just shy of £7.5m, on volumes up 95.8% [NIQ 52 w/e 27 December 2025].
