Good Phats has added four flavoured olive oils to its lineup.
Packaged in squeezy bottles, Chilli, Lemon, Garlic, and Basil (rsp: £9.99/250ml) were crafted by crushing olives with fresh ingredients during the pressing process to deliver a “more authentic and intense flavour” compared to other oils on the market, where flavours are added after crushing, said the brand.
Designed to “elevate everyday cooking”, they will launch via Good Phat’s webstore in July before rolling into independents via wholesalers over the coming months.
Chilli is recommended for drizzling over pizza and eggs, while Lemon worked best for dressing vegetables and finishing meats and salads, Good Phats said. Garlic could be used for gentle cooking and for finishing meats and vegetables, while Basil was better suited to dressing tomatoes and finishing meats and salads, it added.
“The flavoured oil range was developed in response to several consumer trends: growing interest in premium oils, increasing demand for authentic ingredients and provenance, and greater appreciation for traditional production methods,” Good Phats founder Tom Redwood told The Grocer.
“We believe consumers were ready for a flavoured oil range that delivered exceptional flavour, genuine craftsmanship and modern functionality in equal measure.”
Good Phats made its market debut in late 2024 and claims its volume sales are up 150% year on year.
