JJ Foodservice has added 20 new vehicles to its delivery fleet, all featuring three temperature-controlled compartments for chilled, ambient and frozen products.
The new vehicles will enable deliveries to be completed in a single journey, while providing “greater convenience and maintaining strict food quality and safety standards”, according to the foodservice wholesaler.
Supplied by long-term fleet partner Isuzu Truck UK, the new vehicles join JJ’s 155-vehicle fleet and will support deliveries across the company’s national branch network.
“Our fleet plays a vital role in delivering the service our customers rely on every day,” said JJ Foodservice chief operating officer Kaan Hendekli. “As our business continues to grow, investing in modern vehicles helps us maintain the high standards our customers expect while giving our drivers the tools they need to work efficiently and safely.”
The new vehicles come as JJ continues to expand its operations, opening a 28,000 sq ft site in Ipswich and a 33,000 sq ft Nottingham branch this year.
The openings form part of the group’s national expansion drive, after it set out a five-year strategy last October to launch eight new branches and its first overseas facility in the Netherlands.
Last month, JJ also launched on TikTok Shop, offering a range of products to be delivered directly to UK households. The business describes it as “the first shop of its kind in UK foodservice wholesale”.
