Majestic has joined forces with Saturday Kitchen to launch a new DTC wine subscription service.
The Saturday Kitchen Wine Club would deliver “handpicked global vintages and exclusive Saturday Kitchen recipe pairings from top TV chefs directly to subscribers’ doors”, the specialist wine retailer said.
Subscribers will receive a curated box of 12 wines every three months, containing two bottles each of three different white and red wines. The wines have been selected by Saturday Kitchen wine experts Helen McGinn and Olly Smith, working in tandem with Majestic’s buying team.
Three price tiers will be available, ranging from £120 to £200 per quarter.
The Kitchen Classics tier (£120) would contain “reliable, delicious go-to wines”, while The Kitchen Signature subscription (£160) would feature “premium, characterful wines”.
The Kitchen Showstoppers tier (£200) meanwhile would contain “spectacular, high-end wines that truly sing”.
All wines would be exclusive to the Club and unavailable to purchase in Majestic’s stores or online, the retailer said.
Each wine would come with “detailed tasting notes and flavour guides” written by McGinn and Smith, it added.
Meanwhile, there would also be “delicious, easy-to-follow recipes,” inside each box, featuring dishes from Saturday Kitchen regulars including Theo Randall, Anna Haugh, Adam Byatt, Poppy O’Toole, Georgina Hayden and Tony Singh.
