Two innovative new RTD brands have launched amid growing interest in higher-abv cocktails and inventive formats.
Both Bevi and Vogo have rolled out across independent retail and convenience, targeting Gen Z shoppers and pre-drinking occasions.
Bevi is a dual proposition that straddles both alcohol and functional soft drinks. Its modular system comprises a 12% abv vodka-based RTD called ‘Journey Juice’ and an attachable “energy and vibe boosting” powder sachet dubbed a ‘Joss Shot’.
The sachet is based on energy powders popular at backpacking hostels in south east Asia and contains caffeine, taurine, L-theanine, L-tyrosine and B vitamins.
It was designed to be poured into the RTD to “set the tone for the night and kick-start the social moment”, Bevi said.
The products are available as a solo drink (rsp: £4.49/220ml), single sachets (rsp: 99p) and a drink and sachet combo (rsp: £4.99).
“Pre-drinks is one of the most enjoyable and social moments in the night, yet it’s been largely overlooked by legacy brands in terms of innovation,” Bevi co-founder Josh Hillier said. “We’ve built Bevi specifically for that occasion – making it simpler, higher value, and more aligned with how our generation really drinks and socialises.”
Meanwhile, Vogo consists of 15% abv shot-sized pre-mixed drinks in “handy pouches” (rsp: £1.85/35ml).
Featuring a “leak-proof and slimline format”, they were designed to be carried in “purses, clutches, bumbags and bras”, Vogo said.
“The range fits into modern lifestyles and fulfils the need for fun, convenient boozy drinks that bring the party vibe,” Vogo commercial manager David Relph said. “There are clear moments that the drinks fit into – on the train into town for a big night out, waiting for the taxi, between venues, gatherings in the park or on the beach.
“We know consumers will fall for the unique pouch format, bright colours and great flavours - as well as the 15% abv.”
Amid a blitz of new products and players, sales of alcoholic RTDs climbed £76.2m on volumes up 9.4% last year [NIQ 52 w/e 6 September 2025].
The pace of innovation has shown little signs of letting up in 2026, with new RTDs from WKD, Aperol, El Jimador, and Funkin hitting shelves in recent weeks.
