Ottolenghi Dressings Launch

The five NPDs take the total range in Waitrose to 27 products overall

Ottolenghi has added new dressings and “fresh deli staples” to its Pantry range in Waitrose

The new products include two dressings: Orange Marmalade Dressing and Honey Mustard Dressing (rsp: £5.25/250ml).

The Orange Marmalade Dressing combines orange marmalade and orange zest with aleppo chilli for what the brand describes as “gentle heat and brightness”. The Honey Mustard Dressing is Yotam Ottolenghi’s take on the classic, with the addition of preserved lemon.

The launch marks the chef’s first foray into fresh deli products, with three new lines: Pickled Carrot & Kohlrabi Slaw, Pomegranate Harissa Olives, and Hibiscus Pickled Onions (rsp: £5).

The slaw offers crunch from carrot and kohlrabi alongside warmth from spices and jalapeño, while the olives pair kalamata and halkidiki varieties with Ottolenghi’s pomegranate and rose harissa. The onions are pickled with hibiscus, lemon and allspice for a “floral sharpness”, said the brand.

The launch follows Ottolenghi securing further grocery distribution for its Pantry range, with listings in Sainsbury’s and Ocado in February. The Waitrose tie-up, which began in April 2024, has grown to 27 products following a series of range expansions driven by strong early sales that “outperformed” expectations.

“The food we make in our delis has always been about abundance – lots of things on the table, big flavours, something for everyone. We wanted to make that possible at home too,” said Ottolenghi.

“Our dressings and deli range come directly from how we cook in our own kitchens – the things we reach for when we want to bring a salad or a bowl of grains to life. Something sharp, something sweet, something with a bit of heat or depth. Things that make everyday cooking feel a little more special.”
