Dash Water has recorded its biggest ever month of sales, spurred on by the summer heatwave.
The British challenger brand sold over seven million cans in June, driving a 70.8% increase in year-on-year value sales growth.
The record-breaking month coincided with the UK’s June heatwave, with the hottest week of the month resulting in Dash’s biggest-ever sales across major grocery retailers including Tesco, Asda, Ocado and Waitrose.
Retail growth was was supported by “significant increases in out-of-home and e-commerce sales”, Dash said, adding OOH sales were up by over 50% year on year.
As well as the hot weather, growing demand for healthier soft drinks was boosting sales, said Dash co-founder Alex Wright.
“As temperatures climbed, more people reached for drinks with simple ingredients and nothing artificial,” he said. “Seeing our biggest month ever is a huge moment for the team and proof that consumers are embracing a new way to hydrate.”
Dash was founded by Wright and Jack Scott in 2017 and has become one of Europe’s fastest-growing soft drinks brands over the past decade.
In the year ended 31 December 2024, revenues climbed by 42.1% to £17.2m, accounts filed at Companies House last autumn showed.
For the calendar year to date, Dash sales are up 50.8% versus last year, according to the brand.
Dash was on track to deliver £60m RSV and shift some 50 million cans worldwide in 2026, Wright added.
