Biotiful Gut Health has expanded into the cottage cheese category with the launch of Kefir Cottage Cheese.
The launch, available in 3% and 0% fat, combines the “high-protein credentials of cottage cheese with Biotiful’s unique blend of billions of live kefir cultures”.
Biotiful Kefir Cottage Cheese (rsp: £2.50/350g) is made with milk, live cultures and salt.
The brand said the line represented a “differentiated proposition that responds to growing demand for natural, protein-rich foods with simple ingredients”.
“Consumers are increasingly looking for foods that deliver more, whether that’s high-quality nutrition, functional benefits or simply greater versatility throughout the day,” said Alessandra Zehnder, head of marketing at Biotiful Gut Health. “Cottage cheese is already a popular choice for its naturally high protein content, and we saw an opportunity to bring something completely new to the category.”
The brand added that the launch was a step in bringing natural gut health benefits into more parts of the dairy aisle.
“We’ve developed UK’s first Kefir Cottage Cheese the Biotiful way, staying true to our belief that simple, natural ingredients can deliver both great taste and nutritional benefits,” Zehnder added. “Whether it’s enjoyed at breakfast, as a savoury snack, in a salad or as part of a recipe, it gives consumers more opportunities to incorporate natural gut health into their everyday diets.”
The range is set to launch in December with distribution expansion during early 2027.
