Holy Moly is expanding into kids’ snacking and on-the-go breakfast with a duo of avocado-based NPD exclusive to Sainsbury’s, plus a new multipack format of its Guacamole Chip & Dip pots.
The new Kids Simply Avocado Pots come in packs of five and are made with just three ingredients: 98% avocado, a squeeze of lime and a pinch of salt. The 57g portions are packaged in biodegradable wood‑fibre nets and aim to offer parents a simple swap that “tastes great and adds effortless nutrition into the day”.
The kids’ range was created to tap into lunchbox and snacking occasions, as parents are “under more pressure than ever” to find snacks that are both nutritious and convenient, said Tom Walker, co-founder of Holy Moly. The range is now available in 100 Sainsbury’s stores (rsp: £4).
The brand is also targeting early-morning shoppers with new Breakfast Avocado & Toast pots, which will go on sale in Sainsbury’s from 11 May (rsp: £1.85/57g).
The pack contains smashed avocado and features a top compartment of toasted round bread pieces, designed for “dipping or spreading while at a desk or on the go”.
Walker said: “Breakfast Avocado & Toast brings smashed avocado to the front of store for the first time, making it more accessible than ever. While inspired by a breakfast favourite, it offers shoppers a fresh, healthy option that works just as well as a convenient snack or meal deal choice throughout the day.”
Elsewhere, Holy Moly has added a multipack format of its Guacamole Chip & Dip pot to shelves at Sainbury’s (rsp: £4/three-pack), following its single-pack launch last year.
