Ella Eyre x Waitrose

Intune welcomed singer songwriter Ella Eyre as a co-owner last year

CBD brand Intune has landed its first supermarket listing with Waitrose.

The brand’s Pomegranate & Ginger and Elderflower & Hops will launch in selected stores on 19 October as part of the retailer’s BrandsNew programme for emerging independent brands (rsp: £5.75/4x250ml).

Pomegranate & Ginger promises “spicy and dry” notes with apple and plum, alongside black pepper. Elderflower & Hops is described as “floral and smooth,” with apple and “a touch of rose blossom”.

Both contain less than 50 calories and 10mg of CBD per can, alongside less than 4g of sugar.

“Launching into Waitrose is a huge moment for Intune,” said founder Hannah Glasson. “We set out to shake up the functional drinks space with bartender-created CBD sodas that re-energise at work or play. We’ve built the brand through live events and the on-trade, and now we are thrilled to bring our award-winning range to Waitrose shoppers.”

Laura Tudor, branded drinks manager at Waitrose, added: “We’re delighted to bring Intune to our customers. Functional soft drinks are one of the fastest-growing spaces in the drinks category, and Intune strikes the perfect balance between high-quality botanicals, crisp flavours, and a modern alcohol-free alternative.

“Whether our customers are looking to focus during the day or unwind in the evening, we know they are going to love discovering these delicious options as part of their daily routine.”

Intune was launched in 2020 after Glasson started taking CBD during breast cancer treatment. In 2025, the brand welcomed singer-songwriter Ella Eyre as a co-owner.

Eyre said: “I am so proud that we are launching in our first major retailer. Being part of Intune, from design to decision-making at board level, has been incredibly rewarding for me as I broaden my business horizons.

“Waitrose is known for spotting independent brands early, so I can’t wait for the shoppers to tune in.”

It comes as Intune opens a crowdfunding round on Republic Europe, giving shoppers the chance to own equity in the brand.

Greg Matthew, CFO of PJ Investment Group, and Fiona Rickard, CEO of Jellybean, have already invested in the round.

They join drinks industry heavyweights among Intune’s investors and advisors, including exited founders to Pernod Ricard, Marcin Miller and Giuseppe Go.
