Aldi is to open a new store every week throughout September, creating up to 120 new jobs across the four locations.
Following the opening of a new Balsall Common store near Solihull on 3 September, the discount grocer will open a further three stores this month.
The first will open in Telford, Shropshire, on 10 September, followed by Rayleigh, Essex on 17 September, and Hoxton, east London, on 24 September, with up to 30 roles available at each location.
“We know there are still communities across the country that want access to an Aldi store, and we’re working hard to bring our unbeatable value to more of them,” said Aldi UK MD of national real estate Jonathan Neale.
“Opening a new store every week throughout September demonstrates the pace of our expansion, while creating new jobs and bringing high-quality, affordable food to even more shoppers.”
It comes as the discounter published a list of ‘priority locations’ for new stores across the UK in July.
Aldi previously announced it is investing £370m in opening about 40 new UK stores this year as it works towards eventually having 1,500, up from about 1,080 currently.
The publication of the list, which runs to 160 locations across the UK, comes after Aldi called on the public to nominate sites in May.
