Costa Coffee and McVitie’s have paired up to launch a co-branded ready-to-drink iced coffee.
The new Costa Coffee McVitie’s Jaffa Cake Frappé blends Costa coffee with “zesty orange and rich chocolate notes” to create “a refreshingly indulgent treat for on-the-go moments”.
The NPD has launched in Costa Coffee shops now, with selected national retailers including Sainsbury’s and Boots set to stock the product from mid-May (rsp: TBC).
“We’re always looking for new ways to surprise and delight our customers with exciting flavours,” said Maddy McKenzie, senior brand manager for Costa Coffee RTD. “Partnering with McVitie’s Jaffa Cakes for our ready-to-drink co-branded product has allowed us to create something that feels both delicious and new.
“This Frappé is a fun, delicious twist that we can’t wait for people to enjoy wherever they are.”
Russell Smith, marketing manager for McVitie’s Jaffa Cakes, added: “Jaffa Cakes are famous for that unmistakable mix of chocolate and zesty orange, and this collaboration brings that iconic taste in a whole new way.
“Partnering with Costa Coffee has been the perfect way to put a fresh twist on a classic and offer something new for fans to enjoy on the go.”
Costa Coffee relaunched its RTD range last summer after sales slid by a quarter in in 2024.
Declines have since slowed, but in the year to last September the brand lost a further £2.3m on volumes down 15.7% [NIQ 52 we 6 September 2025].
