Oatly has launched Oatly Barista Cold Foam into wholesale.
The world’s largest oat drink company said the Barista Cold Foam delivered a “light, creamy ‘cloud’ that sits on top of drinks, adding both long-lasting texture and visual appeal without melting”.
The product had vanilla tasting notes and could be whipped or frothed with handheld devices, blenders and siphons, Oatly said.
While it can be stored at room temperature, the brand recommended chilling it for 24 hours before use. It can then be shaken and aerated it to create iced coffees, cold brews or shakes.
“Cold drinks are no longer a seasonal trend, they’re reshaping modern coffee shop, bakery, bar and restaurant culture,” said Oatly UK & Ireland GM Bryan Carroll. “The demand for individuality and different flavours and consistencies is growing every day.”
Black Sheep Coffee will launch Oatly Barista Cold Foam, alongside a new lineup of summer drinks, to tap into the growing demand for customisable drinks from 13 May.
Customers will be able to add it to any drink on the company’s menu or buy signature serves including an Iced Americano, Iced Latte and Iced Vanilla Matcha topped with the cold foam.
The launch will be showcased at the London Coffee Festival from 14 to 17 May. It is available now from selected wholesalers.
“We’re giving the hospitality industry a new way to meet that demand and making it easy to create great-tasting, layered, customised drinks that feel both premium and expressive,” Carroll added. “This launch has been years in the making and we can’t wait for people to get creative with it.”
